Day 366: Plus 1
The point of this blog is to detail the changes in my life, following my first year in recovery. It will kind of detail my day, or as I'm so terrible at updating these things, my weeks sometimes. Needless to say, the point is to try and document this year to the best of my ability. Year 2 is suppose to be more difficult than one, and I can see that being a distinct possibility, however my time to this point has not been particularly easy.
To start out, here's some of my year one accomplishments (I guess that's the word):
1. Got a job after my 90 days and have remained somewhat employable there (I do still have the job.)
2. Was in fact in a relationship, which still exists. The world did not collapse.
3. Have worked the steps as outlined in the big book.
4. Have switched sponsors.
5. Have had some interesting friendships pop up, that I never assumed would happen.
6. Have some kind of relationship with my parents.
7. Most importantly I have not picked up over anything that's happened.
So I'll keep this brief for now. One year ago today, I woke up from a coma. And I guess, physically the journey started.
Until the next post, may God grant you the serenity.
